Challenge
Under-resourced primary schools across Accra often lack sufficient instructional support staff to provide personalized academic mentoring for struggling students.
At the same time, tertiary students frequently seek meaningful avenues to give back to society and gain leadership experience through community service.
Solution
The Generation of Academic Leaders (GOAL) initiative bridges this gap by connecting university and college students with pupils in underserved primary schools across Accra.
Volunteers provide one-on-one academic tutoring, foundational reading assistance, and personal mentorship to help young learners build core competencies.

Through structured schedules, mentors build positive relationships that motivate primary pupils while developing strong civic values in the mentors themselves.
Results
